Competitive Gymnastics That's Focused on Fun
EXCEL (GFA Apparatus Programme), is our recreational competitive stream. This class is open to athletes aged 7+, however an assessment is required to join.

EXCEL puts the focus on participation and enjoyment, with athletes getting to choose the skills they compete.
​
This is an excellent option for those athletes who have strong gymnastic abilities and a desire to compete, but don't have the time required to commit to artistic competitive.

TRainings
EXCEL athletes typically train across two days, with athletes training between 1.5 - 3 hours per week.
Competitions
EXCEL athletes compete three to five times a year, with all competitions occurring in the lower North Island. As a member of our EXCEL stream, it is expected that your athlete competes for the club at all available competitions.

EXCEL competitions are held in Terms Three and Four, with the events occurring on Sundays.
​
Hireage of a uniform is required for this stream. Athletes will be sized up in class, to ensure the right fit.
